Aircall Grabs $8 Million dollars for its call center software that spins up the industry

Aircall closes its series-A round, led by Balderton Capital, to reinforce its US operations and continue its growth towards midsize and Enterprise businesses

Paris, September 15, 2016 – Aircall is a cloud based call center software that allows companies to create their entire phone infrastructure in a minute and integrate it with the company CRM, Helpdesk or backend.

Launched in 2014 Aircall raised a first round of $800k from eFounders, NewFund and few business Angels, then $2.75M in a seed round in January 2016 from Balderton Capital and San Franciscobased FundersClub. Today Aircall is announcing an $8M round from its historical investors, along with New Yorkbased fund FJLabs.

The point of this round is to rampup Aircall’s presence all over the world and especially in US thanks to their NYC offices. Currently about 30 people work at Aircall, their ambition is to double in a year from now and continue to grow in the midsize and enterprise market.

“The phone is one of the only communication channels that hasn’t really got redefined yet! We believe that we can create a phone system that is entirely selfservice, built to be multiplayer and connected to all other business workflows. We have been growing tremendously the past months to almost 2000 customers all over the world and our customers don’t stop telling us about the great improvements Aircall brings to their core metrics, while reducing phone system costs” says Olivier Pailhès, CEO of Aircall.

“We are delighted to lead a second round of funding into Aircall. Since our first investment, the company has achieved impressive growth, and has opened its first office in New York. Olivier and his team have ambitious plans to transform business telephony and it is pleasure for me and Balderton Capital to be part of this exciting journey” comments Bernard Liautaud, General Partner, Balderton Capital.

Using Aircall, businesses can create an entire call center in their browser in 3 minutes. Unlike other outdated and expensive solutions that require a setup and investments, Aircall requires no phones, no hardware, no coding and more important, no maintenance. It is entirely selfservice, cloudbased and adapts to the needs of customer support, sales or marketing teams in over 40 countries.
